This townhouse is one of the most well maintained homes I have sold thus far! Unfortunately, the owner passed away about a year prior to listing the home, but I have known her daughter who I worked closely with on this sale for years. Prior to becoming a realtor I coached competitive cheerleading, and I coached the sellers daughters! When she called me in hopes that I would be able to assist I was so excited! She had done a ton of work within the home to get everything cleaned out and ready to go for the sale so it was a fairly easy and quick process from there on out. They were able to get the rest of the home cleaned up and ready within a week or two so that I could get photos and measurements done quickly! Once that was done we were off to the races!

There was quite a bit of activity throughout the first few weeks it was listed, luckily for us we received an offer within about twenty days of listing! Unfortunately the buyer ended up backing out due to their own hesitations, nothing house related! So we pressed on, re-listed and kept the search up for the right owner, it didn’t take too long to find the perfect buyer! From there on out it was fairly smooth sailing! Selling a loved ones home after they have passed can be extremely tough both emotionally, mentally and even paperwork wise. So I was glad to be able to assist them through the ups and downs. Once we made our way through due diligence and finalized the small amount of concessions that were requested by the buyers it was a quick and easy end to the process. When I am working on a project like this one, I do not like to just do gift cards for the sellers as this is more personal than that. So for this property I had a custom print done of the children selling the home and their mother who had passed so that they could remember all the fond memories within the home. A bittersweet moment when you sell a home like this but I am truly so happy that my sellers were able to get it done and can now sit back and just enjoy the memories without the stress.
