131 Crownpiece Street
131 Crownpiece was my first closing as a new agent, and as smooth as the process started, the end of this took me for a wild ride! I met the young couple that I assisted in purchasing this home through a great friend who was kind enough to refer me. We toured this home, they immediately fell in love, and we placed an offer that was accepted. Now for the fun stuff! The transaction was as smooth as can be, up until a few days before closing, we went to schedule a final walk through and the listing agent requested some extra time for the sellers to move their stuff out, my buyers very kindly allowed for this to happen. But, when we finally went to walk through the property, we found a full home with a LOT of stuff.
My buyers were rather confused and frustrated as was I, I told them to take a few hours, grab some coffee and relax, I would handle this. I immediately walked inside, ripped off my heels and got the sellers to work cleaning out the house that was supposed to be cleaned out days prior. After hours of hard work, calling the listing agent multiple times getting him over to assist, carrying items down the stairs, and vacuuming throughout, we get the home cleaned out just in time for my buyers to return. I then hired a cleaning crew to come to the home the next day so that it would be move in ready for my buyers. PHEW, luckily we were able to get it done and get the home in good shape, but man was that an unexpected bump in the road! To this day, I am so happy that it did work out for my buyers, and I have heard thank you’s from them on multiple occasions. How lucky and I to work for such great people!
