Meet Erin Fowler: Your Realtor
Buying or selling a home is a big decision. But if you're moving to a new neighborhood, relocating to the Charlotte area, buying your first home, or preparing to sell a home you've lived in for years, the process can feel like a lot more than simply finding a house and signing a contract.
That's where having a Realtor who knows the area, and genuinely enjoys helping people navigate it, can make a difference.
I'm Erin Fowler, a North Carolina Realtor with eXp Realty, and my real estate business is built around something pretty simple:
I want my clients to feel like they have someone in their corner from the first conversation through closing and beyond.
I'm a lifelong Charlotte-area local, a UNC Charlotte graduate, and I grew up in Concord. Today, I live in Concord and work with buyers and sellers throughout Concord, Cabarrus County, Lexington and the greater Charlotte area.
Real estate is my career, but knowing this area isn't something I learned from a map.
It's home.
Why Concord, NC?
Concord has always been a special place to me because I've seen it change while still keeping so much of what makes it unique.
You can be close enough to Charlotte for an easy commute while still finding established neighborhoods, larger lots, newer construction, historic homes, local restaurants, parks, community events, and plenty of different price points.
And Concord isn't just one type of neighborhood.
You have areas around downtown and historic Concord, established communities throughout 28025 and 28027, newer developments, townhome communities, neighborhoods near major shopping and entertainment, and areas that offer a little more space while still keeping you connected to the Charlotte metro.
That's one of the reasons I enjoy working in this market.
There isn't one “Concord lifestyle.”
It depends on what you're looking for.
As of September 2026, Concord's median listing price was about $425,000, with 770 active listings and a median of 57 days on market. Those numbers are a snapshot of the entire city, though, and individual neighborhoods and ZIP codes can look very different.
For example, the 28027 area had a median listing price of approximately $476,550 and 415 active listings, while 28025 had a median listing price of approximately $359,000 and 312 active listings.
That's exactly why I don't believe in giving someone a generic answer about what they should buy.
Where you live matters.
I'm a Realtor, But I'm Also a Local
One of the things I think is valuable about working with a local Realtor is that you aren't just getting someone who knows how to write an offer.
You're getting someone who can help you understand the area you're actually considering.
If you're moving to Concord from another part of North Carolina—or moving to the Charlotte area from out of state—you may have questions that don't show up on a listing sheet.
What's the neighborhood like?
How far is it from Charlotte?
What areas have newer construction?
Where can I find an older home with character?
What neighborhoods have larger lots?
What areas are convenient to shopping and restaurants?
What is the difference between living in Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Huntersville, or another Charlotte-area community?
Those are conversations I genuinely enjoy having.
Because buying a home isn't just about the house.
You're buying into a location, a community, a commute, and a lifestyle.
My Approach to Buying a Home
I don't want my clients to feel like they're being pushed toward the most expensive house they qualify for.
I'd much rather help you figure out what actually makes sense for your life.
That means looking at things like:
Your monthly budget
Your down payment
Current mortgage rates
Property taxes
Homeowners insurance
HOA costs
Maintenance
Commute
Neighborhood preferences
Future plans
Resale considerations
New construction versus resale
Available seller or builder incentives
The Charlotte-area market has changed significantly from the frantic conditions many buyers experienced a few years ago. In September 2026, Charlotte had more than 6,000 active listings, with inventory up year over year and homes taking a median of about 60 days to sell.
That doesn't mean every home is sitting around waiting for a buyer.
It means strategy matters.
Some homes may attract multiple offers. Others may sit for weeks and provide opportunities to negotiate.
Knowing the difference is part of my job.
I Work With Sellers, Too
Selling a home requires a completely different strategy.
It's not enough to put a sign in the yard and hope someone falls in love with it.
Before a home hits the market, I want to understand:
Who is the most likely buyer?
Then we can work backward.
How should the home be priced?
What needs to be repaired?
What should be highlighted in the marketing?
What can be left alone?
What will buyers notice when they walk through the door?
Are there comparable homes competing for the same buyers?
And perhaps most importantly:
What is happening in the market right now—not six months ago?
Charlotte's September 2026 market data shows why this matters. Median listing prices were around $429,000, while homes were spending a median of 60 days on the market and active listings were up 17.4% year over year.
More choices for buyers means sellers have to think carefully about presentation, pricing and positioning.
A home doesn't exist in a vacuum.
It is competing with every other home a buyer could choose.
I Don't Think Real Estate Should Feel Salesy
One of the biggest things I want my clients to know about me is that I'm not interested in making the process feel like a sales pitch.
If a house isn't right, I will tell you.
If I think you're overpaying, we'll talk about it.
If a home looks great online but has something worth investigating in person, we'll investigate it.
If you need to slow down and think, that's okay, too.
There are enough decisions involved in buying or selling a home without feeling like you also have to manage pressure from the person representing you.
My goal is to give you information, explain what I'm seeing, answer your questions, and help you make an informed decision.
You're the one buying or selling the house.
My job is to help you navigate the process.
My Favorite Part of Real Estate: The Local Details
Real estate is also one of the few careers where I get to constantly learn more about the place I've called home for so long.
I'm always paying attention to neighborhoods, new construction, local businesses, market trends, home values, renovations, and the little details that make one community different from another.
That's also why so much of the content I create is focused on local real estate.
I don't just want to post pictures of houses.
I want people to be able to learn something.
Maybe you're wondering what homes are selling for in a particular Concord neighborhood.
Maybe you're trying to figure out whether buying new construction makes sense.
Maybe you're moving to the Charlotte area and have no idea where to begin.
Maybe you're a first-time buyer trying to understand what closing costs actually are.
Or maybe you're a homeowner wondering whether now is the right time to sell.
Those are the conversations I want to have.
Concord Is My Home Base, But My Work Goes Beyond Concord
While Concord is especially important to me, I work with clients throughout the surrounding Charlotte region.
That includes communities such as:
Concord
Kannapolis
Harrisburg
Charlotte
Huntersville
Lexington
Salisbury
Mooresville
Cornelius
Davidson
Cabarrus County
And surrounding communities
Every area has its own personality, housing stock, commute patterns and price points.
That's why I take the time to understand what you're actually looking for before we start narrowing down homes.
If you tell me, “I want to be close to Charlotte, but I don't want to feel like I'm in the middle of everything,” that's a different search than someone who says, “I want to be five minutes from restaurants and shopping.”
Those details matter.
Real Estate Is Personal to Me
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will make.
Selling one can be equally significant.
Sometimes it's exciting.
Sometimes it's stressful.
Sometimes it's both at the same time.
I don't take that lightly.
I want my clients to know that when they call, text, email or have a question, they're not just another transaction on a spreadsheet.
I'm a real person who lives here, works here and cares about the experience my clients have.
And when the transaction is over, I don't want our relationship to be over.
I want to be the Realtor you feel comfortable calling when your friend asks, “Do you know anyone who can help me buy a house?”
So, Why Erin?
If you're searching for a Concord NC Realtor, I want you to know what you're getting before you ever decide to work with me.
You're getting someone who:
Grew up in the Charlotte area
Knows Concord personally
Lives in North Charlotte
Works with both buyers and sellers
Focuses on education rather than pressure
Pays attention to current market data
Helps clients compare neighborhoods and communities
Works with first-time buyers, move-up buyers, sellers and relocations
Understands that every client has different priorities
Believes communication should be clear and consistent
Wants the process to feel personal, not transactional
Most importantly, I'm not here to tell you what your real estate goals should be.
I'm here to help you accomplish the goals you already have.
Whether that means finding your first home in Concord, selling a longtime family home, moving from Charlotte to the suburbs, purchasing new construction, relocating to the area, or simply figuring out what your options are, I'm happy to be a resource.
Thinking About Buying or Selling in the Charlotte Area?
You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out to a Realtor.
You don't need to know exactly what neighborhood you want.
You don't need to know your perfect price point.
And you definitely don't need to have your entire real estate plan mapped out.
Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.
If you're considering buying or selling in Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Charlotte, Cabarrus County or the surrounding area, I'd love to help you understand what your options look like.
I'm Erin Fowler, your North Charlotte Realtor with eXp Realty, and I'd be happy to help you find your place in the Charlotte area.
